Our regular excursions are run over the entire length of our line that has been extended to make a 10 mile round trip! These trips last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Shorter trips last approximately 35 minutes.
The museum is open for visitors on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9:30 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. from April through October except in inclement weather (the museum is also open by appointment). Museum volunteers will be present at these times and visitors are welcome to view the museum facility and the restored Chase depot, exhibits and railroad equipment. For this there is no charge, but donations are welcomed. For a more personalized visit, detailed guided tours are available for a nominal charge. Train rides are scheduled as noted above. For more details on events and train trips, please go to our Special Events page . Due to limited seating, reservations are recommended and may be made by calling the museum at (256) 851-6276 (NARM) on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Museum brochures and train schedules can be found locally at The Hen's Nest, Rolo's Restaurant, the Tourist Information Center in the Von Braun Civic Center and its outlets and at most area hobby shops. Please go here for pricing information.
Safety Notes:
